Suleiman to Head to Paris in July as Miqati Travels to Berlin

President Michel Suleiman is scheduled to head to Paris in July to meet with French President Francois Hollande at the Elysee.

According to al-Joumhouria newspaper published on Friday, preparations are ongoing to set the official appointments during his visit to France.

Baabda Palace sources told the daily that the meeting between Suleiman and Hollande will address all the latest developments including the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon and bilateral ties.

Al-Joumhouria noted that Prime Minister Najib Miqati is also expected to head to Berlin next week to discuss with German Chancellor Angela Merkel the developments in the region.

The premier will tackle the bilateral ties between the two countries including security, economic and political cooperation.
