The signal hit red; everybody fastened their seatbelts. The host is welcoming everybody on board. Its 2:37am when the plane departed in the middle of the storm. The Control Center at Beirut Airport lost contact with the plane after 3 minutes of its departure. They knew  it right away that something wrong was about to happen, but this was not the first time that a plane took off under these conditions.  In a blink of an eye, and as the plane was about to leave the Lebanese sea borders, a lightning hit the wings of the plane turning the sky into a fireworks show and   breaking the plane into   shattered pieces, leaving the people inside of it lost and stuck , hoping to get back to their homes and in the arms of their beloved ones, but in  every minute that was passing by, these 90 passengers were losing every bit of their hope and their dreams of having a perfect future were shattered on the Lebanese cost along with the  pieces of the destroyed plane.

Its not the first time that a plane crashes because of storms or technical problems.

According to info aviation report, there are more than 100 catastrophic  plane crashes that occurred in the past few months along with them the latest Ethiopian airlines and the one that fell near Iran.

Planes are usually affected by  the changes that happen to the  weather and many officials  in the aviation departments  around the world agree on fact that any incident  regarding a plane crash is  highly controlled by the professionalism of the control centers in any airport, thus having specialized equipments will sure facilitate the communication between the control tower  and the targeted plane.

Lebanese officials said that the mistake happened because of the captain who misplaced the position of the control tower and went the opposite way; to the direction of the storm and led to its destruction.

In a situation like this, a lot of officials blame this misdirection of the plane on the pilot and others  blame the companies who made these planes, but when digging deep into this issue ,whose fault is it really ?

A lot went on regarding the safety of Ethiopian airlines and if these plane were professionally   deigned to meet the international safety standards, but others argue the opposite.  According to officials in the Ethiopian airlines, the airplane was perfectly prepared for such situations and its technical status is perfectly satisfactory; the Ethiopian planes are prepared and the reason of the crash is unpredictable and   related to the dreadful weather.

In 2003, more than 135 people were killed as a plane plunged into the sea off the West African state of Benin on December 25Th. Another plane such as air France that ended in a crash into the (Atlantic sea) in Jan. 1 last year. Also, over the past 10 years Many planes  ended in a  crash resulting in killing hundreds of  passengers , most of them were  Arabs and Muslims, Who left their  countries to purse their careers, because they did not find a suitable job back home.

Should the friends and family members of these victims blame their governments for not providing jobs at home, or blame them for having poor and underdeveloped equipments that made the job even harder in the process of finding survivors?

Should people stop traveling from place to place,  or they should just   over come it easily.? Many questions were raised by the families of these victims trying to find a solution or a way to over come this catastrophic event or at least have a protective plan in order to use it in such times of crisis.

Fear … traveling again

This catastrophic incident will create fear for a lot of people hence it will add hesitation in their minds about traveling by plane. But despite that, millions of people travel by plane everyday from one place to another.

According to the American Aviation Info  Statistical Report that comes out every day to stay up to date with every accident, there are more than 5,000 crashes that happened in the last 10 years, and still people are traveling.

The only question that was asked, is how these airplanes can avoid such incidents and if a catastrophe takes place,  what are the procedures that should be made in order to avoid such losses in souls?

The first step is directed toward the control tower in any airport around the world that should uphold the order to depart if weather is unpredictable. Also professionalism is important and must be applied in such cases.

The second step is directed toward the passengers and the importance of the aircraft safety card that is found on every seat inside the plane.

These cards educate passengers to bring into the light the safety cards prior to take-off

What is a black box?

The moment a crash happens to plane, many of us wonder what is that black box and why all people talk about it? Can this little orange book find the mysteries that left many issues unresolved?

The black box preserves the records of what happened in the event of a disaster. The box is made of a nearly indestructible material so that even if the plane is destroyed, the box can be found and retrieved. The box contains recordings of the status of the plane, including measurements of altitude, air pressure, as well as mechanical status.

Every day, every second goes by, millions of people around the world travel by plane, moving from one destination to another. Some are still horrified from these unpredictable incidents and others are just ignoring them, but despite of the negativity and the humanitarian loss countries have to face every time when dealing with crisis, something good appears under all that depression.

Countries help each other in times of crisis, ; in a blink of an eye, the American, French, and Lebanese forces gathered around the place of the crash and worked together to save these innocent people.

Maybe these things happen for a reason, but the sad part goes to these innocent people who lose their lives unfairly.
